What this service is

Facecard is an independent directory of model agencies based in Italy. No agency pays to be listed, and none can be removed for payment.

The published data are facts: company name, address, means of contact, company number. They are read on each agency's own website and checked one by one.

Signed is a mother agency: it represents models and presents them to agencies. It has no ownership, shareholding or partnership link with the agencies listed in this directory.

An agency that wants its entry corrected or removed can ask: the correction is applied without conditions.

Where the data comes from

  • Agencies' own websites — each agency
    name, address, postcode, phone, e-mail, VAT number
    Factual data published by the entity itself. No editorial text or image is reused.
  • Italian postcodes and ISTAT municipality codes — comuni-json (Matteo Contrini), from ISTAT
    4,677 postcodes to municipality, province and region. 556 postcodes cover several municipalities: the reference says so rather than hiding it.
    MIT licence stated in the repository. Underlying ISTAT data, public.
  • Municipality boundaries and centroids (ISTAT 2022) — Opendatasoft, georef-italy-comune dataset
    centroid of each municipality (lateral linking between city pages) and official province and region names
    ISTAT administrative data redistributed by Opendatasoft.
  • Albo informatico delle Agenzie per il Lavoro (Italian register) — Italian Ministry of Labour
    searched name by name for nineteen Milan and Rome agencies and for the generic trade terms: no result. No status is therefore published here.
    Unitary public consultation. No systematic extraction.
  • Sector directories used as leads — models.com (agency directory) and agenziedimoda.it
    agency names and official URLs only. No published field comes from here, not even a phone number.
    models.com robots.txt respected: its ClaudeBot section disallows /models/, /people/, /work/ and /client/, which were not touched. agenziedimoda.it has no robots.txt.
